Each life that touches ours for good…

Uncle Paul

Friday my Uncle Paul Hart passes away unexpectedly. I feel so blessed to have known him. He was the kind of man who just did it right. He loved my Aunt so much. All of his niece's wanted to marry a man who would loved us the way Paul love Ann. He had two boys and he was the perfect boy Dad. He had so much fun with his kids and grandchildren. There are very few men in my life who have made me feel completely safe. Uncle Paul was definitely one of those men. I will miss his hugs and easy going attitude. I love my Uncle Paul!

FOOD FIGHT!

Last September 10 months before his birthday Jacob began asking us for a food fight birthday party. I couldn't let him down. It was a total hit!

We began with a table set for the event.

All 18 boys had their own place setting.

The chaos began, and for 9.36 minutes they were in a perfect boy world!

Jacob had so much fun.

They got rinsed off and had a water gun fight too.

Jacob wanted a cake that looks like a boy getting a pie shoved in his face. Megan you are an amazing “Cake Boss!”

10 months of planning was all worth it!

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY JAKEIE! WE LOVE YOU BUDDY!

How do you begin again?

I realized, when I read our blog for the first time in over a year, how important it is to document our family history. I had no idea how much I would value what I had done. I even found myself emotional about some of the memories. We had photos and thoughts about events in our life that told our little families story. It made me excited to recommit my self to begin again. My excitement quickly turned to a bit of anxiety. It can feel daunting to begin again, more so for me than just doing something new. I question how to start. Do I try to catch up? Do I just forget the last year and start here today? Life is like that in so many ways. Sometimes my yoga clients will miss a few weeks and then feel like they can't come back. They will feel like they have been away from their practice for too long to start again. Of course my response to that is: You are exactly where you need to be. Just greet your mat with a smile breathe and begin. So here is to new beginnings. To an opportunity to sit and write about this miracle that surrounds me every day. Here is to the five of us! And so I breathe, smile. greet my computer and begin.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!!!

We had a fun family BBQ for Ryan. We sure love you son. Thank you for the boy you are. You are a wonderful example to your brothers, a huge help to your parents, and a great friend. Thanks for being you.

Luke was not happy his older cousins got to go infront for the pinata because Jacob decided it was going "littlest to biggest not oldest to youngest!"

And true to form we can go from tears to cheers in a flash.

We had a good go at that Pinata

Finaly the Birthday Boy had to bring it down. What a Swing!

Others chose a more relaxing approach to the fiesta. They had a siesta.

I am pretty sure Ryan had an AWESOME day!
