My purse saga.

I see the cute purses and I like them. It’s not that I haven’t tried. I have, I get a cute purse and I try to use it when I go shopping, or try to go anywhere looking much accessorized. I end up out of alignment, at the chiropractor and my yoga suffers. Then I notice the purse I thought was cute and hi-fashion is the same one the ladies in my book club have. The majority of the ladies in my book club are in their 70’s & 80’s. So, unlike the girl I am trying to be (I have been doing my hair and wearing make-up like my mom taught me to) I use a backpack. In fact my current “purse” is a great backpack we bought for Ryan when he went into kindergarten. I know they make really cute hi-fashion backpacks, but I would have to spend a lot on a backpack, and that just doesn’t feel practical. I know It's weird and I should be banned from certain girl conversations. Actually, I am sure I already am. I am sure my mom, sister, and my best friend Tiffinee, all of whom are very hi-fashion have wonderful colorful exotic conversations about things like great purses. The reason I am blogging about a purse is because I found a purse for me. Check out my Item of the Month. It's still a backpack, and let’s faces it- if I smoked weed it would probably look just right in it. But, for me it is a fashionable, all be it granola, solution to the current kindergarten option that should hold a 72 hour kit and not my credit cards!

...or you could be like me and not have a purse, randomly carrying around your cell phone and wallet...and then loose them on a daily basis. I think your backpack idea is great!

It is a great backpack. I am learning that practicality is so much better than what is the most fashionable. We are far too busy as moms to worry about purses...right?? It is all about convenience.

I'm ok with the back pack goody.. but if you go fanny pack on me I will have to call Tiff and schedule an intervention.

Oh Nicolle! That's funny! I agree with Sherine though, if you go fanny pack on me I'll be at your door SO FAST!!! Really though, that's one of my favorite things about you is that you don't care. That's one of the MANY things that makes you great!
